Roche Energy Retains BNEF’s Tier Status in Q1 2025

Shanghai, 24 January 2025 – Roche Energy has once again been named a Tier 1 Global Energy Storage Manufacturer by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) in its Q1 2025 rankings. This recognition, achieved just two years after the company’s inception, reflects Roche Energy’s rapid ascent in the energy storage industry.

The BNEF Tier 1 list is a globally respected benchmark, known for its meticulous selection criteria, and continuously upgrades with the development of the industry. The criteria for Q1 2025 are more demanding than those for Q4 2024, with larger project scales and more rigorous client validation, further enhancing the list’s authority and reliability. While 49 companies were included last quarter, only 37 companies met the higher standards this quarter. Roche Energy’s inclusion on the list for the second consecutive quarter highlights its ability to deliver large-scale, high-quality energy storage solutions to a diverse client base.

By the end of 2024, Roche Energy had shipped over 3.5 GWh of energy storage solutions, served over 55 corporate clients, and completed key projects such as the SPIC Binhai 220MW/440MWh facility, the Lianyungang Ganyu 105MW/209MWh installation, and the Xinjiang Mulei Kaisheng 150MW/600MWh project. These systems, spanning generation, grid, and user-side applications, demonstrate the reliability, scalability, and versatility of Roche Energy’s technology.

Since its establishment in 2023, Roche Energy has rapidly completed a comprehensive transformation, evolving from OEM to ODM and then to product services. Roche Energy operates from its headquarters in Shanghai and two advanced factories, with an annual production capacity of 30 GWh. The company’s growth has been driven by its commitment to innovation and its ability to meet the global demand for efficient, integrated energy storage solutions. With operations expanding across key markets in the America, Europe, Australia, and Korea, Roche Energy is well-positioned to address the evolving needs of the energy sector.

Looking ahead, Roche Energy will continue to prioritise innovation and collaboration, working with partners and clients worldwide to advance energy storage technology and drive progress toward a sustainable energy future.
